Birthdays are something that should be celebrated!
And, what better way than with a photo shoot?
For cake smashes I like to keep it simple, we can discuss colors and I also have cake stands and a cute green high chair(see pictures below) that I can provide if needed.
I do ask parents to provide the cake for this due to liability reasons with the amount of allergies these days AND any other specific props like balloons or banners(but like I said the simpler the better!)

When should I book my baby’s session?
Please contact me at least a month ahead of time.
I can occasionally accommodate a last minute session, but typically I book up at least a month in advance.
What will happen during the session?
When you arrive, we will begin with pictures of your baby pre-cake,
I will take pictures of the cake, then we will add baby and let the fun begin!
How long will the session last?
Your session will last approximately 45 minutes.

When will my session take place?
Cake smash sessions should be scheduled when your baby is the happiest!
That means, after a good nap and small snack (not too much because we want them to be a bit hungry).
Some babies are great car sleepers and can get their snooze on the way to the session, if it is a long distance.
Typically most parents schedule these sessions after baby’s morning nap.
What kind of cake should I get?
Cakes should be 6-8″, vanilla because chocolate looks like dirt or poop, and have fluffy icing for easy smashing, not fondant.
You can make your own or find a reputable baker. let me know and i can send recommendations of places if used before.
What should my baby wear?
Most parents choose to purchase a special outfit for their baby’s first birthday.
Typically we use this outfit to take pictures of baby before the cake.
Then, for the cake smashing, some parents like baby to have the same outfit on,
some bring another outfit, and some parents just do pants, a diaper cover, or a tutu.
If your child has a favorite toy that you would like them photographed with then please bring it along as well.
